I want to bring a team to the tournament, what do I need to do?

Its simple! Get 10 -15 players (and Parents) together that you are going to have a great time with in the Bahamas.  Sign your team up! Let our team take over from there! Okay there is a few more steps but we promise we will keep it easy for you.  

 

How many teams are playing the tournament?

We are as excited as everyone else about playing lacrosse in the Bahamas. However, we have decided to limit The number the of teams for the first year to insure that we can offer the best experience possible to the teams participating in the inaugural Bahamas Bash.

 

How do we get our team to the tournament?

The Bahamas Bash has arranged travel packages to make your playcation as affordable and stress free as possible. We include a ferry from Ft. Lauderdale or a cruise from West Palm Beach to Freeport, Grand Bahamas and back. Also included are resort hotel accommodations and charter buses transportation to all of the Bahamas Bash activities. Travel packages start at just $299 per person, prices will vary depending on your length of stay, hotel choice, and number of people per room.  Please review the information on out travel package page.  Packages are limited at every level so don't wait too long to book.

 

Okay we are in! How do I book my families travel?

Once you have had a chance to review the travel packages you will need to complete the required forms on the website’s book your travel page. When the tournament receives your completed form and deposit the Bahamas Bash travel coordinators will contact you and start booking your accommodations.  

 

How soon should I book my travel?

The ferry is the most popular and economical way to travel to the island. Because space on the ferry is limited to 600 passengers, we encourage all participants and families to book as quickly as possible. Ferry and hotel space will be first come first serve.

 

What Type of travel documentation do I need to get to freeport?

• Valid US passport or valid us passport card 

• US enhanced valid driver’s license (same day travel only)

• Arc (alien resident card) *us residents with the passport of citizenship  

• If arc is expired must bring the original extension document with expired arc card 

• Euro border cards, sentry, nexus or global entry cards are not accepted

We know we are playing lacrosse but what else is happening with the tournament?

Join us for the Friday night meet and greet at Port Lucaya Marketplace within walking distance of most of the tournament hotels and surrounded by restaurants serving classic island cuisine.  You won’t want to miss the Saturday Night Beach Party which will offer dinner, drinks, and beach activities, including a lacrosse limbo contest. At the fields there will be food concessions as well as a Bahamas Bash adult beverage garden (Parents, we didn’t forget you are on vacation too).

 

Can you tell me more about the schedule?

Our goal is to begin scheduling the tournament once we have finalized and filled all of the available spots in each division.  As of now our plan is to schedule the games between the hours of 10am to 5pm on Saturday June and 10am to 3pm on Sunday July 1st.,  however we are encouraging families to spend an extra night or two on the island and enjoy everything Freeport has to offer!  

 

What is the Travel Registration and Down Payment applied to? 

The initial payment gives you the discounted rates that we have negotiated with the hotels and ferry.  Upon arriving to the island each guest will receive a wristband that will get them access to additional amenities and transportation on a luxury coach while on the island for the weekend.  This would include transport to and from the port to the resorts, the lacrosse fields, any other tournament associated events such as the Saturday Night Bahamas Bash.  Every guest will also receive a Bahamas Bash Lacrosse tournament t-shirt.  Please note that the wristbands will be required to gain access to the Bus and all other events hosted by the tournament.   

 

What is the refund policy?

Because space is limited on the cruise and, deposits must be non refundable to ensure everyone who wants to go can get a seat on the ferry.
